3 Motivational Books To Read This Month

There’s nothing I love more than listening to a motivation book that makes my mind spin with ideas. I’ve been pretty lucky lately, this month I’ve been blessed with having read 3 books that rocked my world.

First up is “Carrie Green’s”  She Means Business. Green takes us through her entrepreneurial journey by showing us how she found success through her passion—helping women. Furthermore, she takes on a step by step process on how she organizes her month for ultimate productivity. When I read this book, I couldn’t stop taking notes as new ideas kept speeding past me. She made me realized all the opportunities I'd been leaving on the table, and she helped me understand my brand, both as a writer and as an entrepreneur.  I highly recommend this book to anyone struggling to get organized, focused or simply lost in the direction they should go in their professional arena. I loved this book so much that I decided I would give it away to one lucky reader. Enter your email on the home page to be entered into June’s drawing.

Next is “Mel Robins’  The 5 Second Rule: Transform your Life, Work, and Confidence with Everyday Courage. The idea behind this book is that we make decisions, and, talk ourselves out of said decisions within a 5 second period. Robins takes us on her journey of financial and physical pitfalls all the way through her financial and physical healing, all by applying the 5 second rule.  Furthermore, she goes into detail about the scientific facts that support her findings. Just a little warning here: I loved the concept of the 5 second rule and I’ve started to apply it into my own life, and it WORKS. Applying the 5 Second Rule has helped me avoid procrastination, make difficult pitches and come out of my introverted shell. However, as usual, I listened to this book on audible, but in this case, I didn’t enjoy the narration as much. If you’re like me and you do your reading via audible, I suggest moving this one to physical copy.

Finally, is “Kevin Hart’sI Can’t Make This Up: Life Lessons. In typical Kevin Hart form, this autobiographical book is narrated by Hart himself and makes for an entertaining read/listen. Hart shows us where he started, how he developed his love for comedy and how he overcame setback after setback. Out of all the books I’ve listened to this year, this has been one of my favorites (but I’m a huge Kevin Hart fan, if that counts). If you’ve ever felt like giving up, or like there’s no way you could ever reach your most treasured dreams, then this book is for you.
